William Scott Richardson b 2 January 1909

William “Scott” Richardson was born 2 January, 1909, in Milford NH, the third (and only son) of five children of Will and Mary-Grace (Perham) Richardson.  Mary-Grace had a brother Scott who died at age 17, and may have named her son for him.

In 1910 and 1920, Scott was with his parents and sisters in Milford.  I have not located him in the 1930 census.

After graduation from high school, Scott worked for his sister Mary’s husband (Ralph Whittemore) building bridges and roads, and as a carpenter.  He married Helen Johnson, daughter of William and Carrie (Moody) Johnson, in Keene, NH.  Scott and Helen moved to southern California.  They had twins Judy and Jerry, born 23 February 1944 in San Bernardino County, CA.

About 1951, the family moved to Fallbrook CA.   Scott was a board member of the Escondido Valley Poultry Association.  In 1954, he opened Richardson’s Drive-In.  He was a salesmen for Stones Poultry Breeding Farm from 1953 – 1965.

Helen died in 1990.  Scott died 31 Jan 1995 in Falbrook.
