Harry Kingsbury Pimer born 18 March 1897

Harry Pimer was born 18 March 1897, in Warwick RI, the middle of three sons of Carlos B and Mary E (Labor) Pimer.

In 1900, the family lived in Providence.  The family was also listed in Providence in the 1905 Rhode Island state census.  In 1910, the family lived in Barton VT.  In 1915, Harry was listed with his parents in the Lebanon NH city directory, residing at #7 Spring Street.

I have not yet located Harry in the 1920 census.  He did not live with his parents.  Harry married Mildred “Nellie” Gracie, and they had a son, Harry Kingsbury Pimer, born in 1922 in Rutland VT.

Harry and Nellie apparently divorced – I have not been able to find Harry Jr or Nellie in the 1930 census.  Harry Jr moved to Indianapolis and died there in 1996.

On 29 Nov 1928, Harry married Verna Irene Hamel in Lebanon.  Verna was born in 1905 in Tilton.  Their daughter Dorothy was born in 1930 in Springfield VT.  The family lived at 41 Olive Street in Springfield, and Harry was a grinder at a machine shop.

Harry and Verna were listed in the Claremont city directory.  Harry worked at JMCo, and they lived at 220 Main, and 186 North.

Harry died in August 1959 in Connecticut.  Verna died October 1982 in Claremont.

Harry Jr died Jan 1 1995. He lived in Clermont, Indiana in the house on the hill. He was a great friend and mentor in my youth. I was remembering some of his war stories and happy to see a few people remember himn out there.
